§ 148-59. Violations and penalties.

Any person, contractor or utility who or which commits a violation of this Article shall, upon conviction thereof for a first offense, pay a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $500. For a second or subsequent offense, upon conviction thereof, such person, contractor or utility shall pay a fine of not less than $250 nor more than $500 and/or serve a period of not greater than 30 days in jail, or both.
